Mortal Kombat 2 is one of the most anticipated movies of the year for action fans. Lewis Tan stars in the film and he recently sat down with our friend Brandon Davis on an episode of The Brandon Davis Show which is currently only available on thebrandondavisshow.com but was provided to ThatHashtagShow for an exclusive preview and breaking news.
They got to talking about all things Mortal Kombat including the diss that Andrew Schulz laid out against them at the Video Game Awards. Here’s what Lewis had to say about it in some explicit detail.
LEWIS TAN: “Andrew Schulz is the last person to see that it should be talking shit on that stage, you know what I’m saying? Obviously not a fighter. Not even really an actor, really. Yeah, we heard it.”
He went on to highlight some of his talented friends in the upcoming Street Fighter movie:
“I got a lot of friends on that cast, you know? I mean, Raina, who’s in there, incredible martial artist. We did Cobra Kai together. She’s, in Street Fighter. Andrew Koji, who’s very good, close friends with Joe Taslim and myself. Also, great martial artist. So, yeah.
They also got to talking about if there’s a rivalry between the Mortal Kombat 2 cast and crew and the people making the Street Fighter movie (which is also due later this year).
“I mean, yeah, let’s go bro,” Tan said. “We’ll see what’s up. Numbers don’t lie. Mortal Kombat fans, don’t play around with them.” Street Fighter is cool. I played that game, too. But Mortal Kombat fans, don’t mess about it. They don’t mess about, bro.”
