Godzilla is the iconic radioactive, atomic fire-breathing kaiju (and king of the monsters) that spawned an entire highly successful franchise for Toho Co.. Meanwhile, Formula One is the highest class of worldwide racing involving those open wheel, single person, almost jet plane-like racing cars that have become emblematic of those high level car races, and is the pinnacle of motorsports overall. So what do these two have in common? Well, normally, they don’t have much in common. At all. However, as you can tell by the title of this story, that is changing.
Toho Co. is proud to announce a collaboration project between their Godzilla and the TFR Hass F1 Team for Formula One. This collaboration will take place on March 27-March 29, 2026 during the Japanese Grand Prix. As for what this collaboration will entail? Well, the first part of this collaboration will actually take place before the Japanese Grand Prix on March 24, 2026; involving the reveal of a special edition race car livery themed around Godzilla. There will also be a “dynamic slate of integrated branding, original digital content, limited-edition merchandise, and race-weekend activations”, but there’s no mention of a release date for any of them. We will just have to wait for that information at a later date.
Godzilla Partnering with TGR Haas F1 for Formula One

Honestly, its a very strange collaboration here at first glance. However, it does sound like this Godzilla x Formule One collab could be one way for this big, stompy kaiju to gain even more international recognition. At least, moreso than it already does. Godzilla is already a household name around the world anyways, so any boost to the big kaiju’s fame would be the frosting on the atomic cake here. Still, for Godzilla’s fans, this will be quite the treat indeed to see his scaly face emblazoned on one of those sleek race cars.
What do you all think? Are you eager to see one of those sleek, futuristic race cars drive around with Godzilla’s mug plastered onto it? Tell us your kaiju thoughts in the comment section below.
