Rick and Morty returns on Adult Swim May 24th and we just got a brand new trailer. Fans can tune in at 11:00 PM Eastern and Pacific for the latest adventures of Rick Sanchez and his family. Every season of Rick and Morty finds a way to amp up both the ambition and the scale of the duo’s adventures. (When they actually include both Rick and Morty, something that the show has delightfully taken upon itself in recent years.)

Longtime Rick and Morty fans know that these trailers include a bunch of snippets from different episodes. As an entire season of the show runs, Rick, Morty, Beth, Summer, and Jerry all find themselves in increasingly dangerous situations. In this clip alone we’ve got alien races recruiting Morty from some kind of mission, a training montage, breakfast drugs, and more. Rick and Morty is back for Season 9

Here’s how adult swim frames another season of their adventures: “Rick and Morty is back, baby! Season Nine is all certified bangers. No AI slop! Just Grade A organic slop, made by real humans with real human traits like back hair and cysts. Please watch, or we’ll have neglected our families for nothing.”

 Rick and Morty Lore fans, your time is at hand. Talking to THR, series creator Dan Harmon explained that they’ve found more of a balance Between one off adventures and the larger story moving forward this time around.

“My part of it is, I’ll just always insist on the modular, one-off thing,” Harmon told THR. “That is harder to pull off and therefore requires more energy. And serialization is a glorious, wonderful thing that happens automatically to a show that people love. So it doesn’t really need help. But we do have younger, smarter people on the staff whose very job is to remember which Rick is from which dimension. They make great, strong advocates for fantastic and canonical mythical episodes.”
