Bass X Machina is an upcoming adult animation from Netflix that looks rather promising. Or at least, the bits and pieces about it look promising. From what we’ve seen of it, it looks like a Weird Western story from executive producer Brian Tyree Henry, who also stars in this upcoming series in the leading role. In fact, their logline is:
“In a lawless Steampunk West overrun by brutal outlaws, machines, and supernatural terrors, a father is forced to become judge, jury, and executioner—knowing that every act of justice meant to protect his family may ultimately cost him the very people he’s fighting to save.”
And with Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, Harley Quinn, Devil May Cry) doing the animation, you can expect a fairly good-looking show to boot. All of which is why we’re getting some news on this today.
Netflix is proud to announce details about their upcoming Weird Western adult animated series Bass X Machina. Said announcement reveals, among other things, that Netflix will be exclusively streaming it on October 6, 2026. Alas, Netflix doesn’t yet have a trailer for it. However, they do have a voice cast, as well as a few still images. All of which you can see below:

Alas, there’s very little information about this upcoming Bass X Machina series. All we have is the content above that Netflix has announced, and that’s it. We just have to wait for Netflix to let us see this show in October to see if it’s as good as they say it is. At the very least, we can enjoy the bits and pieces Netflix have handed to us.
