Fans of the hit supernatural mystery thriller anime【OSHI NO KO】from studio Doga Kobo will recall the recent news that Crunchyroll is exclusively streaming the third season of this anime adaptation of the manga of the same name by Aka Akasaka…without streaming either Seasons 1 or 2. That’s because HIDIVE was the one who streamed the first and second seasons. So from our perspective, it looked as if Crunchyroll had just bought out the exclusive rights to the third season seemingly to deny it to HIDIVE. Recently however, HIDIVE did announce that they started streaming that third season in January 2026, so it left Crunchyroll’s announcement completely in the air. Pure chaos, really. That is, until now.

Crunchyroll is proud to announce that they are now streaming the first season of【OSHI NO KO】and will soon stream the second as well. That means as of this writing, you can in fact watch Seasons 1 and 3 the anime on Crunchyroll. As for when you can watch Season 2 on Crunchyroll? Well, that will arrive on Crunchyroll sometime in Spring 2026. The exact date will have to wait for Crunchyroll to reveal to us later.

As part of this announcement, Crunchyroll is also announcing that an English dub of【OSHI NO KO】Season 1 is available at launch, in addition to subtitles for select languages. Not only that, but there are now also Castilian, Spanish, and German dubs for Season 3. You know, just to expand the language options.

Honestly, this at least provides an end to the chaotic tale of Crunchyroll’s streaming of【OSHI NO KO】. It doesn’t quite tell the whole tale though. We still don’t know why Crunchyroll made that initial announcement that they were exclusively streaming Season 3, or why they apparently backed off on that later. Who knows what went on behind the scenes between them and HIDIVE as they basically fought each other over the rights to stream this hit anime? All we know for certain is that the fight is over…for now.
