The Netflix version of Devil May Cry from Studio Mir has attracted quite a great deal of attention ever since it made its streaming debut on April 3, 2025. Attention that has largely been positive as critics and audiences praise the action sequences and the story. On the other hand, this Netflix anime adaptation did get quite a bit of flak for not following the games’ canon in the slightest. The whole story is basically something creator Adi Shankar made up on a whim. Still, the balance does show that overall, people liked what Netflix did with Capcom’s game franchise, and are eager for a second season to continue that story. Fortunately, now we know exactly when we’re going to see that Season 2.
Netflix is proud to announce the premiere date for their upcoming second season of their Devil May Cry anime adaptation. According to them, we’ll get to see this Season 2 on May 12, 2026.
Unfortunately, we still barely know anything about this upcoming new season. So far, Netflix only has a new still image for this announcement, and a synopsis for Devil May Cry Season 2. You can read that synopsis below:
“In season 2, a war between worlds ignites as Dante must battle the only force that mirrors his own: his estranged twin brother Vergil.”
