Mamoru Hosoda’s ‘Scarlet’ IMAX Tickets On Sale Now

Scarlet looks all ready for its impending IMAX theatrical debut on February 6, 2026. And thus, all ready to be added to Mamoru Hosoda‘s list of masterpieces, which already counts the likes of The Boy and the Beast, Mirai, and Belle among his list of works. In fact, this one might be his best anime film yet, since it received three nominations for the 2026 Annie Awards, including Best Feature (Independent), Best Direction (Feature), and Best Writing (Feature) after making its initial debut at the Venice International Film Festival. And all before it made its NA debut at the Toronto International Film Festival and New York Film Festival to boot. Since that debut is less than a month away, you all won’t have long to wait for to see it in IMAX. Fortunately, IMAX theaters have this little surprise waiting for us today.

Scarlet Bringing the Fight to IMAX on February 6

Scarlet definitely looks all set for her IMAX debut. It’s hard not to see the potential for this action-packed dark fantasy anime film, even if you’ve never watched any of Mamoru Hosoda’s works before. Just one look at that IMAX trailer, and you’re already anticipating one heck of an action film. And judging from that trailer, it even takes place in some sort of afterlife on top of that. Will this Bangsian fantasy live up to all the hype around it? Well, we’ll just have to wait for February 6 to find out.
