CM Punk isn’t just the World Heavyweight Champion with WWE, he’s also starring in the upcoming film Night Patrol. In that movie, he plays a brutal police officer that works for a group called Night Patrol, who has a dark secret. We sat down with him to talk all things wrestling, movies, and more. Check out the full conversation below.

In the conversation, Punk talked about the movie, his motivations for acting, and even a surprise bit of comparison between him and Dave Bautista.

“I cast a wide net. I want to do everything, like Dave Bautista. I’m currently shooting a rom-com in Calgary, which I think is going to turn a lot of people’s heads, too. There’s no such thing as small roles, you know? I want to jump into every single opportunity that gets thrown my way and have fun doing it.”

Punk and Bautista are friends in real life, and he would love to do a movie with him at some point in the future.

“They paid me to be able to have fun and learn from actors that were better than me,” Punk said. “And it’s only going to help me grow. And I think this movie is going to kind of open up eyes to my talent but also the litany of talent that is in this movie.”

Night Patrol releases in theaters on January 16th, 2026.
