13 Going on 30 is getting a new reboot over at Netflix. Emily Bader and Logan Lerman star in the new version of a millennial favorite. Brett Haley is attached to direct. And, don’t worry Jennifer Garner is aboard the project as an executive producer. Deadline reports that the project is a go over at the streamer. Fans of the original will be waiting for this one with some real nerves!

Haley comes off of directing People We Meet on Vacation. (Did some nice numbers for Netflix earlier this year. Global Top 10 status is always going to help in that regard.) Bader played her role in that one well too. Hannah Marks writes the script for the new 13 Going on 30. Flora Greeson is helping with revisions on the project.

With a movie as culturally beloved as 13 going on 30, the expectations are going to be high. Haley knows, as the person in the director’s chair, a lot of this begins and ends with them. So, they had to offer a statement to Deadline upon the reveal of this project.

“13 Going on 30 is one of those rare, perfect films. Funny, emotional, deeply human, with unforgettable performances from Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo and Judy Greer,” the filmmaker said. “I’m a longtime fan, so stepping into this reimagining comes with tremendous responsibility.”

The statement continues, “Jennifer Garner being on board as an executive producer, after playing such a big part of what made the original special, is especially meaningful. I also couldn’t be more excited to reunite with Emily Bader after People We Meet on Vacation. She and the amazingly talented Logan Lerman are a magical pairing. I feel incredibly lucky to be trusted with something that means so much to so many people.”
