Seth Rogen and Olivia Wilde released the trailer for The Invite.  A24 released a new clip of all the stars sharing one awkward night. Penelope Cruz and Edward Norton joined the other two fan-favorites. With marital bliss hanging on by a thread, will a night with another couple who seems to be cool be enough to put things back on track? Probably not, but it’s fun anyway! 

 An unspecified activity causes a little bit of nervousness on the part of everyone involved. A24 has excelled at this kind of turbulent filmmaking for a while now. It’s always got you on edge because how would someone react to a nebulous proposition. Olivia Wilde’s direction here deserves a lot of love too. She’s become a filmmaker with a ton of command as she shares time in front of and behind the camera.

The Invite Trailer causes a stir

A24 has a tease for what’s coming! “Joe and Angela’s marriage is on thin ice. When they invite their enigmatic upstairs neighbors for a dinner party, the night spirals into unexpected places. Have they reignited the spark or lit the match that burns it all down?​”

The Invite stars Seth Rogen, Olivia Wilde, Penelope Cruz, and Edward Norton. Wilde also sits in the director’s chair for this one. The Invite was written by Will McCormick and Rashida Jones. 

The Invite is ready to shake things up on June 26, with a wider release in July.
