Beef Season 2 is coming up fast on Netflix. Today, the streamer formally unveiled the return of the hit drama series. Lee Sung Jin’s darkly funny show hits on April 16. In addition, Cailee Spaeny, Charles Melton, Oscar Isaac, and Carey Mulligan are starring in the series. There’s been absolutely tons of conversation about revisiting this concept on Netflix. TUDUM caught up with showrunner Lee Sung Jin to talk about bringing beef back for season two. Things are a little bit different this time. Gen Z and Millennials Throw down in a face off they’ll teach each side a little bit about the other.

“The intention with BEEF was always to have it in anthology. We wanted the feeling of this season’s beef to be a bit more passive-aggressive,” Lee told the outlet. “It’s more about the internal repression of rage that you see in the workplace.”

BEEF is back for Season 2

Netflix teases the new season. “BEEF returns with a new cast and a new “beef,” as a Gen-Z couple witnesses an alarming fight between their Millennial boss and his wife. Newly-engaged Ashley Miller (Cailee Spaeny) and Austin Davis (Charles Melton), both lower-level staff at a country club, become entangled in the unraveling marriage of their General Manager, Joshua Martín (Oscar Isaac), and his wife, Lindsay Crane-Martín (Carey Mulligan). 

“Through favors and coercion, both couples vie for the approval of the elitist club’s billionaire owner, Chairwoman Park (Youn Yuh Jung), who struggles to manage her own scandal involving her second husband, Doctor Kim (Song Kang Ho).”
