A Different World’s upcoming sequel series one step closer to premiering on Netflix. Hillman College is back as the streamer green light 10 half hour episodes according to Deadline’s latest report. Showrunner Felicia Pride, known for her work on Bel Air, is aboard the Different World Continuation Series. Joining her is director, and former star Debbie Allen. She’ll direct three episodes of the 10 half hour order.
Dwayne Wayne (Kadeem Hardison) & Whitney Gilbert’s (Jasmine Guy) daughter serves as the main character for the A Different World revival series. Maleah Joi Moon plays Deborah Wayne, the aforementioned protagonist. She’s beginning her freshman year at Hillman, and the HBCU has a long memory of her parents. A new generation wants to make their mark just like the old crew did.
