The Fellowship is stepping back into the spotlight again and this time it is for a milestone that hits fans right in the heart. In celebration of The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring turning twenty five, Fathom Entertainment and Warner Bros Pictures are bringing the extended editions of Peter Jackson’s entire trilogy back to theatres. Screenings run January 16 to 18 and January 23 to 25, with tickets on sale now.

An Epic Return to the Big Screen

This anniversary run is not some quiet rerelease. Fathom and Warner Bros are pulling out the stops with DBOX presentations at select theatres during the first weekend. If you have never seen these films with enhanced motion seating, this is the time. The trilogy already carries some of the most towering images and emotional beats in cinema, and the added immersion turns the whole thing into an event again.

To mark the celebration, the companies dropped a new anniversary trailer along with a fresh twenty-five-year logo. It is a clean reminder of how well these films hold up. Middle-earth’s magic still hits as hard as it did in 2001.

Collectibles for the Journey

Fathom also revealed a lineup of exclusive concession items. AMC Theatres will offer a Collectible Map Tin paired with a Quest Magnet Set that feels tailor-made for fans who love the lore. Regal and a group of independent theatres will have the One Ring-themed concession vessel, which is easily one of the sharpest-looking movie tie-ins they have rolled out in a while. These items are limited, so fans should check their local listings for availability before they sell out.

Why This Trilogy Still Matters

Peter Jackson’s adaptation of Tolkien’s work is still the standard for epic fantasy. Six films, seventeen Academy Awards, six billion dollars worldwide and a permanent spot in the National Film Registry prove that. These films landed with force in 2001 and their influence has only grown. Fans old and new will get the chance to experience that impact again as the twenty five year celebration kicks off.

The timing also sets the stage for what comes next. Warner Bros is moving ahead with The Lord of the Rings The Hunt for Gollum which is planned for release in December 2027. This rerelease is a smart warm up for the next chapter.
