As it gets colder in portions of the United States, the fall and winter months usually mean retreating indoors for entertainment. However, if you know where to look – like the new Netflix House in Pennsylvania – there’s still theme park style excitement to enjoy; even when there’s snow on the ground! The first of the streamer turned media brand’s ambitious foray into theme park style thrills, the two floor destination recently opened its doors to the intrigued public.

Thankfully I was able to visit that very location through a recent media day, and I can say that it’s definitely worth a trip. So for you aspiring visitors, let’s run down what exactly Netflix House has to offer; as well as some tips on how to best invest your time.

Netflix House Is Free To Enter, But There’s A Catch

If you were wondering how you’d need to pay to step into your Netflix favorites IRL, there’s a catch. While you don’t have to pay to get in from either Netflix House entrance, the attractions offered are subject to a la carte, dynamic pricing. Depending on what day, time, and experience you’re looking to have, you can pay as little or as much as you’re comfortable with.

As for what’s on tap, take a look at this pretty impressive drone video of the entire King of Prussia location:

Now that the subject of money is on the table, let’s look at what’s on the table. That applies both literally and figuratively, as there’s not only interactive attractions to engage in, there’s also a dining facility with plenty of dishes inspired by Netflix’s library of originals.

Netflix House’s “Studios” Put You In The Action

The heart of Netflix House lies in its lower floor area, which is home to the two “Studios” that hold the main attractions. While it’s not set in stone, an employee did tell me that these areas may change every six months or so. Which of course probably depends on any given studio’s popularity with visitors. No matter which one you choose, you’re in for a living, breathing immersive experience that see you and your group as the stars!

Currently, Wednesday: Eve of the Outcasts and One Piece: Quest for the Devil Fruit are the big tickets. As for what to expect, you’re basically stepping into a special episode of either of those Netflix titles! A mixture of costumed performers, pre-recorded videos, and hands on experiences all lead you through a one-off plot in each fictional world. At the end, you walk out into the main hall, ready to line up for the other experience. Or, set to rise to the second floor, where more fun awaits.

Estimated Price of Entry: $39 – $59, per person.

Netflix Virtuals And Top 9 Put New Branded Spins On Modern Amusement Traditions

Naturally any good theme park experience has some additional palette cleansing experiences. That’s where both Netflix Virtuals and the Top 9 mini golf course come into play; as they break from the escape room installations on the bottom floor. In the case of Top 9, it’s basically what the name says – half a traditional mini golf round, where each hole is themed for fan favorite projects like Love is Blind, Squid Game, and WWE Raw

Meanwhile Netflix Virtuals is a three-title roulette of virtual reality gaming experiences. Home to Squid Game Virtuals, Rebel Moon: The Descent, and Stranger Things: Catalyst, you’ll step into the sensors and goggles that allow you to team up with fellow visitors to play big. Afterwards, you’ll even get to see a video of what you look like both in and out of the VR reality you’ve just fought through.

Estimated Price of Entry: $15 – $25 (Top 9) / $25 – $35 (Netflix Virtuals – 25 minutes) / $40 – $50 (Stranger Things: Catalyst VR – 45 min. version)

Netflix Bites Is A Tasty Cross Between Food And Fandom

Besides the gift shop, a popcorn stand, and some installations primed for social media photo glory, there’s one more place we need to discuss. Depending on where you’re entering, Netflix Bites could either be the first or last thing you hit in your journey. A cafe area with a full bar and a wide ranging menu, you’ll find specials and staples inspired by the stories that make Netflix House what it is.

As if sandwiches inspired by Bojack Horseman or dishes straight out of KPop Demon Hunters weren’t enough, the decor will seal the deal. References taken from I Think You Should Leave and other Netflix standards are given form through wall sculptures, neon signs, and a video reel. All of which surround you, the patron, with reminders of the tales you can take part in – and other potential future attractions to come.

Tips For Netflix House Visitors

With the basic blueprint of Netflix House out of the way, allow me to share with you some tips. The advice shown below doesn’t cover everything, but these basic bullet points should help build the foundation for your own ideal experience.

  • Book tickets for One Piece and Wednesday in advance, as they have the potential to sell out.
  • Hit One Piece: Quest for the Devil’s Fruit first, as it’s a timed experience, at “45 – 55 minutes per group.” Wednesday: Eve of the Outcasts is less rigid, but still estimated to take about an hour. (Though you could zoom through it faster if you skip the carnival games, and focus on the murder mystery.)
  • At the moment Mondays and Tuesdays have the lowest price per attraction. But check the website, as pricing is subject to change.

Naturally if you have any questions that aren’t answered above, you should consult Netflix House’s official website. You can also check the pricing for each of the attractions above through the ticket portal available, in case you’re looking to budget your time and money.

As it stands this monument to all things Netflix is off to a promising start. I certainly had fun with my experience, and considering I’m not a huge fan of either One Piece or Wednesday, I found it pretty easy to get caught up in the fun and games. Now all that needs to happen is for the Tudum Theater to open, as that will be a venue where visitors can see Netflix exclusives in an opulent movie theater setting.

Those interested in Netflix House can currently visit its King of Prussia, PA location. Meanwhile, the next two sites will be opening in Dallas on December 11th, and Las Vegas in 2027.
