Fans of Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series are probably still reeling from this week’s Season 2 finale. Knowing that Season 3 was already greenlit for production must have been some sort of relief – especially when a sneak peek played during this season’s final episode.

However, that surprise came with some even better news: the next chapter of author Rick Riordan’s Disney+ fantasy saga will debut this fall! It’s a far cry from the almost two-year gap between Percy Jackson and the Olympian’s first two seasons, which feels like a miracle in the world of streaming TV.

That’s even more important to keep in mind when remembering how effects/spectacle-heavy this project happens to be. Naturally pulling inspiration from Book 3 – The Titan’s Curse, actors Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and (maybe?) Aryan Simhadri are about to get into even more trouble with gods, monsters, and adolescence.

Walker Scobell and Leah Sava Jeffries take fighting stances in Percy Jackson and the Olympians S2 E1 - "I Play Dodgeball with Cannibals."

Percy Jackson Season 3 Is Already Off To A Good Start

Mixing it up with incoming Percy Jackson Season 3 cast members like MCU vet Dafne Keen, the next batch of Percy Jackson adventures are currently in production in Vancouver. This definitely explains the accelerated timetable at hand, as the early greenlight prior to Season 2’s debut threw a little more fuel onto the fire that drives this streaming hit.

With the arrival of Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ third season, Disney+ has roughly reached the halfway point of the original five book run. Adding in the planned three-book Senior Year Adventures run, there could be eight seasons all told. So maybe this is just the start of our friends from Camp Half Blood being on a more regular release schedule.

That’s a fine time to remind you all that the first two seasons are streaming in their entirety, on Disney+. While Season 3 doesn’t have a premiere date, fans can also listen to the program’s official podcast – which is available with or without visuals, through Disney+, Hulu, YouTube, and various podcasting platforms. And as always, if you want to see what the latest Percy Jackson and the Olympians news brings, keep a browser tab open to THS.
