Don’t mind that chill in the air, dear readers. Much like the US Postal Service, cinema endures through all types of weather! That may be easier said than done depending on wherever you hail, but here online the THS Cinema Forecast has a roaring fire – fueled by the hottest flicks (like Scream 7) debuting in the month ahead.
If you’re wondering about what made THS’ January 2026 Cinema Forecast, you can find that information elsewhere. Otherwise, it’s time to make some popcorn and discuss the movies that look worth braving the cold for.

Scream 7 – February 27th
You could practically sell Scream 7 with posters that merely proclaim, “Sidney (Neve Campbell) is back!” Though that’d only be half of the fun as a lot of familiar faces are coming back in this sixth sequel. Similar to Matthew Lillard’s thoughts on Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, it appears writer/director Kevin Williamson listened to the fans and finally brought the infamous Stu Macher back for one more round of terror.

Cold Storage – February 13th
After last year’s return to the Jurassic World franchise, writer/director David Koepp has adapted his own novel Cold Storage – which pits Liam Neeson, Georgina Campbell, and Joe Keery against a pathogen that creates some wild mutations. Though in Keery’s case, it’s assured he’s seen stranger things than this, or any of the other thrills on THS’ Cinema Forecast for February 2026.

The Running Man
Edgar Wright’s adaptation of Stephen King’s bleeding edge dystopia unfortunately tanked at the box office. While it’s not the zaniest entry in the director’s canon, The Running Man is still wildly entertaining as a satire that hits a bit too close to home for some. Also, any adaptation that can cleverly adapt that book ending into the result shown here deserves a couple New Bucks for its troubles. So if you skipped this one for personal reasons, you can currently stream it through a Paramount+ subscription.

The Strangers – Chapter 3
2026 has spoiled horror fans by providing prime horror efforts that gave the genre a great launchpad. With The Strangers – Chapter 3’s trailer allowing Madelaine Petsch further bloody revenge on the titular killers, those good feelings could continue to reign. But could this quest for revenge turn our vengeful heroine into a Stranger herself?

Solo Mio
After dabbling as a villain and an action star over the past couple of years, Kevin James is returning to a genre he knows quite well: the rom-com. In Solo Mio, his lovelorn protagonist Matt embarks on a journey through Italy after being left at the altar ruins his honeymoon plans. Genre fans are probably all in, but those of you who like uniquely warm movies (with a bit of romance) should also be ready for a trip straight to your heart.

Goat
February 13th, 2026 seems to be one hell of a day on the 2026 winter movie schedule. Believe it or not, the animal basketball movie Goat is a pretty strong competitor for the overall box office crown. While this weekend truly has something for everybody, the animated picture anchored by Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin looks to have tons of heart, and clever jokes to spare.

“Wuthering Heights”
Writer/director Emerald Fennell’s intentionally radical adaptation of “Wuthering Heights” has certainly kept things interesting. As the Saltburn talent’s own fandom has inspired a unique take with Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi in the lead roles, the quotation marks on the title say it all. Looking stylish and brooding as ever, new life could be brought to the source text, depending on your views of Emily Brontë’s original text.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die
If you’ve somehow seen something nuttier than Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die’s trailer, you must be from a different timeline. Director Gore Verbinski’s first film in almost a decade, Sam Rockwell’s “Man From the Future” recruits a ragtag band of would-be revolutionaries in the present to stop A.I.’s global takeover. Ah, there truly is nothing like bleeding edge dystopian satire to make us laugh while screaming.

Crime 101
Though the road to Avengers: Doomsday sees Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth primed to re-team on the MCU battlefield, X-Men vet Halle Berry is sadly not on the roster. That won’t stop the three from mixing it up though, as the noir crime thriller Crime 101 shows this team of A-listers intersecting during a string of robberies in LA – and with no superpowers required!

The Bluff*
Swashbuckling purely for action loving adults has been in short supply, which makes Prime Video’s The Bluff a welcomed change of pace. When reformed pirate Ercell (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) finds her quiet life disrupted by a plunderer with a score to settle (Karl Urban), she’ll have to get violent to protect her family. (And when I say violent, I mean violent; as you can see in The Bluff’s trailer.)

Idiotka
OK, first off, reading about Idiotka smacked me in the face with something I didn’t previously realize. Lead actor Anna Baryshnikov, the woman inhabiting the role of aspiring fashion designer Margarita, also played Kristen Stewart’s obsessed stalker Daisy in Love Lies Bleeding. So seeing her helping satirize the world of reality TV based comedy is a change of pace I’m eager to watch unfold, especially since we’ll all be rooting for Margarita to succeed.
And there you have it, dear readers! The THS Cinema Forecast for February 2026 is ready to pack a short month with maximum entertainment, and there’s no time to lose.
