It’s been a bit since we’ve had any Mister MIracle news about the upcoming DC animated series, but we had some news from WonderCon 2026 thanks to Tom King. The creator and showrunner for the series sat down with our friend Brandon Davis for a panel to talk about his career and his upcoming projects. The Mister MIracle show was announced last June from Warner Bros. and DC Studios. Not only did King confirm that the show was still in active development, but he’s writing every script for the upcoming series.

He was also editing the pilot of the series yesterday, which means that its in the middle of production. He’s very involved with the series, including the drawings all the way to the finished product. MIster Miracle was written originally by King with Mitch Gerads.

King went on during the panel to talk about how working with James Gunn and Peter Safran (the heads of DC Studios) is fantastic and been an absolute pleasure.

There weren’t any details about the voice cast, but an assurance that fans would absolutely freak out about who they’ve cast currently.

Mister MIracle tells the story of Scott Free and is based on the comics of the same name.

“No prison can hold him,” says the logline. “No trap can contain him. He is Scott Free, the worldwide celebrity sensation known as Mister Miracle, and he is the greatest escape artist who ever lived. But can he pull off the ultimate trick – and escape death itself?”

Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow Details

Tom King also wrote Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow which heavily influences the upcoming Supergirl film from DC Studios. The genesis of the idea for that book was that he wanted to do a Supergirl western during the pandemic and that’s how the book came to be. He also stated that he didn’t think his version of Supergirl would ever become a feature film.

We’ll make sure to keep you updated on all things Supergirl and Mister Miracle as we get news.
