The first season of Untamed found Investigative Services Branch agent Kyle Turner (Eric Bana) investigating a tragic death on the cliffs of Yosemite National Park. At the end of the season, Turner was seen driving away from the park with destinations unknown. Today, Netflix has revealed exactly where the second season will take place. In the new season, Turner is called on to investigate a mysterious death in Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park. There is no release date yet, but Season Two is currently in production in Hawaii. About Untamed Season 2
“We’re excited to explore the pristine landscapes and cultural identity of a very different national park, and find Turner in a new state of mind, outside the comfort of Yosemite,” co-creators and executive producers Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith tell Tudum.
“Each national park has such a different cultural identity, geographical identity,” Elle Smith says. “Being able to explore those places through the case and through Turner’s journey is what’s so fascinating [about] getting to choose a new park.”
The new season will catch up with Kyle after he’s already visited several other national parks. “This won’t be the first park he’s been in since Yosemite,” Mark tells Tudum. “It’s one that’ll take place a year and a half after leaving Yosemite. He’s been to a lot of parks. He’s been busy; he’s been taking on a lot of cases.”
