After “Despicable Me 4” premiered in 2024, fans have been clamoring for more adventures from Steve Carell’s Gru and his crew. This year, Illumination and Universal Pictures are happy to oblige, as those lovable, loyal, and legendary Minions are finally returning to the big screen with “Minions & Monsters.” And during Super Bowl LX, we got our first look at the highly anticipated film.

Helmed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Pierre Coffin and writer Brian Lynch, who reunited after their acclaimed collaboration on “Minions” back in 2015, the latest chapter in the franchise finds everyone’s favorite little yellow rascals in the 1920s as they try to find a career in the entertainment industry. But instead of conjuring up a kaiju to star in the next great creature feature, they managed to find several monsters to terrorize Tinseltown instead. Now, they must find a way to get this creature problem under control or risk the credits rolling on Hollywood as we know it.

During the game, viewers only got to see a teaser where a Minion is running at the screen to warn of the impending danger. But thanks to Universal Pictures’ official YouTube channel, now you can watch the full trailer for “Minions & Monsters” below:

“Minions & Monsters” featuring Coffin as the iconic voices of the Minions hits theaters on July 1, 2026.
