One of the most mean-spirited horror movies out there, Drag Me To Hell is arriving just in time for Halloween on 4K UHD thanks to Scream Factory. It releases with new bonus features on October 29th. If you’ve never seen the movie, it’s directed by Sam Raimi and stars Alison Lohman and Justin Long. This new scan from the original camera negative looks better than ever in 4K Ultra HD. Here’s a synopsis of the movie for those that need a refresher.
As life seems too good to be true for Christine Brown (Alison Lohman), she makes a tough decision at work that leaves an elderly lady without a home and Christine with an evil curse. Now she has only three days to dissuade a dark spirit from stealing her soul before she is dragged to hell for an eternity of unthinkable torment.
The 3-disc set comes with new special features made just for this release and legacy bonus features from previous releases. You can pre-order the Collector’s Edition directly from Scream Factory. There’s also an exclusive variant edition only available from Shout! Factory with 2 exclusive posters and an exclusive slipcover featuring never-before-seen art by Basil Gogos.

Odd to me that they were having a hard time finding a good sequel story for Drag Me To Hell 2. Now the word is that it will be completely different characters? Why??
Most of use wold like a continuation of the original story Mr. Rami, here, let me help-
The Medium Rham Jaś (Dileep Rao) would have been trying to find a way to help Christine (Alison Lohman).
He would have been doing heavy research over a long time to find some way to help her as he felt somewhat responsible. Through his research he would be led to a “former” Gypsy, who had once called forth the Lamia many years prior and has since been paying penance for doing so. He abandoned his Gypsy community years ago after using the curse and now lives in a monastery. Can he be persuaded to help Rham Jas in finding a way to bring Christine back?
And what of Christines boyfriend Clay Dalton (Justin Long)? He married the Yale Law graduate and tennis player his Mother wanted him to meet but he is unhappy as his wife is much like his Mother was, a rich shrew and to be honest, he never liked tennis.. 😉 Could he also be persuaded by Rham Jos to help in finding her? Does he still love her and want to help her?
Could her old boss Mr Jacks (David Paymer, who is 71 years old and still living) still be the Branch Manager of his bank?
This would be a great outing for a continuing story.. Please consider it Mr. Rami.. Most of us would love the original cast back as much as possible..
