The Tangled live-action remake from Disney has been gestating for a long time now, but we’re finally getting some traction on who’s playing who in the film. They’ve recently cast Teagan Croft (Titans) as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim (Zombies, Thanksgiving) as Flynn Rider. The 2010 film tells the story of Rapunzel, a magically long-haired princess who is rescued from her tower by an outlaw named Flynn Rider.

The original Tangled featured Mandy Moore as Rapunzel and Zachary Levi as Flynn. It grossed over $590 million worldwide and spawned a sequel TV series, but not a second movie. In the time since that film, Disney has been looking into the live-action treatment for it.

Michael Gracey is directing the film with a script from Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Kristin Burr is producing with Lucy Kitada executive producing the film. There aren’t any new production details or other cast choices at the moment.

Croft comes from her most famous role on Titans as Raven. She’s also been in the Netflix movie True Spirit.

Manheim is well known to Disney fans for his role in the long-running Zombies franchise. He’s the son of Emmy and Golden Globe winner Camryn Manheim.

Tangled is the latest in a long line of Disney live-action remakes of their animated films. They include films like The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Mulan, Dumbo, The Little Mermaid, Snow White, and Lilo and Stitch. There’s also a live-action Moana film coming out later this year in theaters on July 10th.
