The Mummy is one of the most cherished and beloved 90s action-adventure films and its getting a sequel with the original cast from Radio Silence (the directors of Ready Or Not/Scream (2022)). Well, it was a question if other cast members were returning for the fourth The Mummy film. Now we have an answer on at least one. THR is reporting that John Hannah, who appeared in the previous films is making his return for the upcoming film.

Plot details for the sequel are being kept under wraps, but we do know that Radio Silence is directing the film with a script from David Coggeshall. The original film was released in 1999 and saw Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz star. Hannah played Weisz’s brother in the film, a thief, who is continually up and down on his takes, but always ends up with a little something at the end of the films. Hannah has appeared in all three films alongside Fraser, while Weisz only made the trip for the first two films.

The Mummy 4 releases in theaters on May 19th, 2028 with the project set to start filming in the fall in London and Morocco. The Mummy Returns is heading back to theaters this weekend (March 27th) to mark the film’s 25th anniversary.
