The second teaser trailer for “Avengers: Doomsday” has been released by Marvel Studios. Now audiences are asked to turn their attention to Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. This comes a week after the release of the first teaser that revealed the return of Chris Evans’ Captain America to the film. You can check out the new teaser below.

THE THEME OF FATHERHOOD (SO FAR) IN “AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY” TEASERS
As you can see above the trailer takes place in a calm forest. Thor is praying to his late father, the Norse God Odin. He asks for strength to help him keep his new daughter safe as we can assume he is rejoining the Avengers to take on Dr. Doom.
The teaser also shows some shots of his daughter Love from “Thor: Love and Thunder”. Interestingly enough, Love is played by Hemsworth’s real-life daughter. But in the film, we know that she is not Thor’s biological daughter as she is actually the child of Gorr, the God Butcher. In his last moments, Gorr made Thor promise to raise Love as if she was his own.
Both trailers so far have focused on Steve Rodgers and Thor as fathers, could that be a central theme of the film? It will be interesting to see the perspective and focus of the rest of the teasers.
Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Doomsday” hits theaters on December 18, 2026.
What are your thoughts on the two teasers so far? Are you excited to see the original Avengers return? Or did you want more focus on the new characters?
