At first, Cole, played by Dane DeHaan, prowls the city “wardriving,” hacking from his car while constantly staying on the move. He tells himself no one gets hurt. However, that illusion collapses when black market tech predator Oscar, portrayed by Mamoudou Athie, forces him into a million-dollar cyber heist.

As the job unfolds, Cole uncovers a mob lawyer, played by Jeffrey Donovan, using Sarah, portrayed by Sasha Calle, to launder his fortune. Meanwhile, bullets start flying and betrayals stack up. Ultimately, Cole must risk everything to return the money, protect Sarah, and survive a deadly game of cat and mouse where every line of code could be his last.

Should You Check This Out?

Original tech driven thrillers rarely get this kind of clean theatrical and VOD rollout. Even so, Wardriver positions itself well by mixing grounded cybercrime with old school chase tension. If the pacing holds and the performances land, this could easily connect with audiences who want gritty genre films that do not rely on superheroes or tired franchises.
