If you thought you’d be waiting until season 3 of The Mandalorian for new Star Wars content, we have some good news. Star Wars: The Bad Batch arrives pretty soon on Disney+!

And Disney chose a fandom-appropriate premiere date too. The Bad Batch premieres May 4.

May the 4th be with us indeed!

Fans will actually get a double-dose of the series in its premiere week. Since its regular air day will be Fridays, the second episode will drop May 7. After that, new episodes will air once a week on Fridays. (Sorry, you still can’t binge the whole series at launch. This isn’t Netflix.)

Star Wars: The Bad Batch follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in The Clone Wars) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army – each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.
