4. Sabine Wren
Sabine starts off as a wayward teen, exiled from her home and family, when we meet her in Star Wars: Rebels. Over the course of four seasons, Sabine follows an extraordinary path of self-learning and emotional growth. Eventually she returns to Mandalore possessing the legendary Darksaber. She was the catalyst to unite the Mandalorian Clans behind Bo Katan Kryze to stand against the Empire. She’s smart, talented, loyal, and determined. And rumor has it we might get to see her in live-action in The Mandalorian.
3. Cad Bane
The Clone Wars, Dave Filoni’s exceptional animated series, contained some of the best storytelling and Star Wars characters, period. Among them is the bounty hunter, Cad Bane. An indgo-skinned Duros, Bane was one of the most brutal and effective bounty hunters of the Clone Wars. He’d even bested Jedi, torturously so. Even other bounty hunters feared him. Perhaps with The Clone Wars Season 7 we’ll get to see Bane duel Boba Fett as Filoni originally intended. How no one has yet written a stand-alone novel about one of the fiercest Star Wars characters there is remains a mystery.
