The Batgirl news has been on a roll this week. First, we got a new look at Brendan Fraser as Firefly and an update on Michael Keaton filming his scenes. Today, thanks to leaked footage from the set, we have a new look at Batgirl in action. The video shows Batgirl making an escape from a burning building. With the role of Firefly in the film, there is expected to be no shortage of fiery situations.

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT ‘BATGIRL’

The film will feature Leslie Grace as Batgirl / Barbra Gordon.  J.K. Simmons will appear as Barbra’s father, Commissioner Gordon, and Michael Keaton as Batman / Bruce Wayne.  Keaton last played the Dark Knight in 1992’s Batman Returns. Nothing else is known at this time in regards to the casting or plot of the film. But the announced casting has been enough to keep fans excited. 

Batgirl is being directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah who recently directed the 2020 blockbuster Bad Boys for Life.  The film is being written by Christina Hodson, who has written another DC film, Birds of Prey.
