So it’s a pretty well-known fact that Quentin Tarantino wanted Kill Bill to be one epic film. It was split into two Chapters and that’s what we had officially for a long while until the formation of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair. Now, audiences across the world can enjoy the saga in theaters. The Whole Bloody Affair brings together the two films, adds in a new animated sequence, and will also include The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge, which was animated and built in Unreal Engine 5 with Fornite models. These new additions and some other small changes make for the best possible way to enjoy these movies.
If you’ve never seen Kill Bill, it might be daunting to step into a movie theater for an over four hour experience, but trust me, this is worth it. Going into this presentation, Kill Bill was not among my favorite of Tarantino’s films, it’s good, but this experience changed my tune a bit. Seeing them back to back, with the new additions, has made for an epic experience that you can only get with this release of the film.
Seeing it as one single story (albeit with a 15 minute intermission) is the way to go. As people think of The Lord of the Rings as one whole film, this is very similar. The changes are small, but longtime fans of Tarantino’s and of Kill Bill will enjoy some of the things you can look forward to. There’s more violence in some scenes, and the extended animated sequence really beefs up the story and backstory. Seeing the battle between The Bride and the Crazy 88s in color was also another highlight.
The Most Epic Way To Celebrate An Epic Film Saga

The new additions might seem like something that would cheapen the overall product, but The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge is actually pretty cool, I have to say. It’s awesome to see Uma Thurman voice the character in 2025 and have Tarantino step into the role of Bill for the late David Carradine.
When you add together all the improvements and the scale of this re-release, it all adds together for the best possible way to watch this saga from Quentin Tarantino. If this was the intended way to watch the movie all along, this is great for anyone who can’t make it to a repertory screening in Los Angeles at one of Tarantino’s theaters.
Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair releases in theaters on December 5th.
