Godzilla is coming! Gkids gave the Cinemacon crowd a first-look at the new film Godzilla Minus Zero. As well as some insight on what fans can expect from the film. Director Takashi Yamazaki was in attendance and presented the film on stage. He discussed what’s in store for the the destructive monster hero. The first big nugget is that Godzilla Minus Zero will be a direct sequel to Godzilla Minus One, following the story of the Shikishima family.

Yamazaki also shared that the film was filmed in IMAX, the first of its kind for a Japanese film. That means that the best way to experience Godzilla Minus Zero is on the big screen and the biggest one possible! Yamazaki thanks audiences for making Minus One such a success, and spoke to how important it is to watch movies in theaters. It’s hard to deny how big this is, and even bigger with Godzilla Minus Zero now slated to be on the biggest screens out there!

Audiences were treated to a few behind the scenes look and a first look teaser that featured Godzilla rising from the water, pilots flying through ship debris, and the iconic monster walking up to the Statue of Liberty!
